Debra Schweihs, alto saxophone, received her Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University. Some of her primary saxophone teachers have included Frederick Hemke and Paul Bro from Northwestern and Bill Street from the University of Southern Maine. Debbie taught in the Skokie public schools, the Lake Forest Country Day School, and is currently the 5th grade band director for District 200 in Woodstock, Illinois. She has also been very involved with community theater groups in the Northern Illinois area as a reed specialist. Her other activities include teaching private lessons, playing and coaching several sports, and volunteering as a member of the Northwestern School of Music Alumni Board.
